Despite blizzard conditions, the Huskers made the journey from cold, snowy Lincoln to warm, sunny San Diego to begin preparations for the Pacific Life Holiday Bowl on Dec. 30.
The Husker football team boarded a chartered flight in Lincoln late Christmas Day afternoon and made the flight out to California. They have begun preparations for their Holiday Bowl matchup with Arizona and are looking forward to taking on the Wildcats in the big game on Dec. 30.
It will be a chance for the Huskers to post a 10-win season for the first time since 2003, when then-interim coach Bo Pelini led the Huskers to a win over Michigan State in the Alamo Bowl to close out the season after coach Frank Solich was fired.
The Huskers will battle Arizona for the second time in the Holiday Bowl, as the two teams met in the 1999 version of the bowl game, with the Wildcats squeaking out a 23-20 win.
You can still get tickets to see Nebraska take on Arizona in the Pacific Life Holiday Bowl. Get your tickets now at Ticket Express -- where no Husker football game is ever sold out.
