After suffering a disappointing loss on the road, the Husker football team will try to bounce back against Louisiana-Lafayette in the final non-conference game of the season this Saturday.
Saturday's game is a historic one for the Husker football program, as it marks the 300th consecutive sellout, a streak that began back in November of 1962.
Fans of the Husker football team have made Memorial Stadium one of the most intense places to play in the country, and their continued support of the Nebraska football program has earned a special place in the history of college football.
The Huskers are off to a good start in 2009, even though they lost a heartbreaker on the road last week. The Huskers led late, but host Virginia Tech scored a touchdown with :21 to go to edge the Huskers, 16-15. The Huskers will be looking to go to 3-1 heading into Big 12 Conference play with a win this Saturday over the Rajun' Cajuns.
And while the game is considered a sellout, you can still get tickets to see the Huskers take on Louisiana-Lafayette this Saturday with tickets from Ticket Express -- where no Husker football game is ever sold out.
