Everybody likes to make fun of the team known as "Idle."
They are the team nobody has ever lost to, and rarely does anybody even get hurt playing Idle.
So it's a good thing the Huskers were off this week, because it not only gives them a much-needed weekend off before a tough three-game stretch with Virginia Tech, Missouri and Texas Tech, but it gives some of those who have been banged up a chance to get back to 100 percent and prepare themselves for this challenging part of the schedule.
Players like Lydon Murtha, who recently returned to the lineup during Nebraska's 38-7 win over New Mexico State, have been playing hurt or have missed out on action, and coach Bo Pelini knows having everybody healthy is important to this team's continued improvement.
The team worked hard on Thursday, going through a two-hour workout, before taking it easy this weekend. The team did lifting and conditioning Friday, and Pelini has given the team the weekend up to rest and prepare for Saturday night's televised (ABC) matchup with the Hokies.
You can see the rested and ready Huskers in action with tickets from Ticket Express -- where no Husker game is ever sold out.
