After posting a dominating win on the road, USC has moved ahead of Georgia in both major college football polls this week.
The Trojans bombed Virginia 52-7 over the weekend to move past the Bulldogs and Ohio State, both of whom started the year with home games against Div. I-AA opponents. USC got one more first-place vote than Georgia in the Associated Press Poll (22-21) and three more in the USA Today coaches poll (23-20). The rest of the first-place votes were spread out among five schools, including Big 12 teams Oklahoma and Missouri.
Nebraska did get some mention on some of the ballots this week and are listed in the "others receiving votes" category.
