Nebraska's special teams units were pretty solid last year, and few changes are on the horizon for 2008. Here's a look at the Huskers' special teams:
Placekicker
Preseason depth chart
Alex Henery (6-2, 175, So.)
Adi Kunalic (6-0, 185, So.)
Henery was a can't-miss kind of guy last year, making good on all 45 PAT's and 8-for-8 on field goal attempts. Kunalic is the designated long-range guy, and while he only saw one field goal attempt (hitting a 46-yarder against Nevada to open the season), he did a tremendous job pinning teams deep with his booming kickoffs.
Punter
Preseason depth chart
Dan Titchener (6-0, 200, Sr.)
Jake Wesch (6-1, 205, Sr.)
Titchener was one of the few bright spots for the Huskers last year, as his punting was among the best in the Big 12. He is back to do it one more time in his senior season and, barring injury, will handle those duties in 2008.
Long snapper
Preseason depth chart
T.J. O'Leary (6-1, 235, Sr.)
Justin Baumgartner (6-2, 245, Sr.)
O'Leary returns as long snapper for the kicking units and has proven to be a dependable connection.
